Prunus x yedoensis - Yoshino Cherry tree

The Yoshino cherry trees have held my attention all week & I think it's a great photo for the 1st day of spring. They are impossible to ignore. These trees get 20-30 feet tall and do best in full sun. This is the same tree that covers the Tidal Basin of Washington D.C. I am thankful that my neighbor has such a fine specimen in his backyard for me to enjoy!
