Chionanthus virginicus - Grancy Gray Beard/White Fringetree

This is from my dad's grancy graybeard tree. We planted this slow growing native about 6 years ago and when it was starting to look great our cat decided to use it to sharpen her claws. Luckily new shoots were forming at the base of the plant so it wasn't a total loss. Now in its 3rd year of recovery it's becoming a nice little tree.
My Aunt Sue has located a few of these growing native in our county and I consider it quite a stunning small tree when in bloom.
