I bought this Clematis early last spring as a 2nd year plug and it never really took off. This year it has had a slow start but finally I have a bloom! I love to see these vines mixed with other vines such as confederate jasmine, yellow jessamine, or climbing roses. They enjoy the sun and are often seen on mailboxes.
