I will admit that I do not know a lot about lilacs. They grow better up north and here the flowering isn't reliable. In Ohio last week Lilac's were in full bloom everywhere and my mom was smitten. The fragrance was wonderful.
Here in Atlanta the 'Miss Kim' variety is often sold as a good choice.
