Selaginella uncinata - Peacock Fern/Peacock Moss or Club Moss

Selaginella has become one of my new favorites. I wasn't that fond of it until I started growing it and I love the way it has crept around the rocks shown here. The foliage is almost iridescent blue or metallic at times and then green with more maturity. Mine has stayed under 4 inches but has spread quickly under a red oak tree -- but it's not invasive. It isn't really evergreen but with light mulch mine maintained foliage all winter. Grow this as a groundcover for it's amazing texture and blue-green foliage.
