This crape myrtle is quite common in the south. They grow fast, they have nice flowers, and the habit of the tree is as nice as the color of the bark so it's no wonder why they are so popular. These trees do great in the sun and line most of the streets and businesses in the area. The bark on Natchez is a nice cinnamon color that exfoliates as it matures and the fall color is orange to red.
