This feathery foliage is from Asparagus. I like the texture this adds to a garden or to the back of a bed. It's best to enjoy the foliage for the first few years to allow the roots time to strengthen. In the 3rd year you can start harvesting the spears. This vegetable is high in folic acid which stimulates blood cell formation and growth. It is also high in potassium and fiber. Asparagus was first cultivated over 2000 years ago in the Mediterranean.
