This vinca is one of my favorite groundcovers. It's very low maintenance and stays green all winter. Colorwise I prefer blue so I tend to go for lots of plants with this kind of color. Vinca minor stays near to the ground and spreads awesomely. It prefers a shady spot with sufficient moisture but it's tough. There is also a larger version called Vinca major that is often sold with variegated foliage.
