These bottlebrush trees were lining both sides of the pathway to a small shack home I visited in rural Kenya. The widow who lived there had gone to much trouble to make her garden beautiful and every plant she had was cared for.
These small trees usually grow 10-20 feet as a tree or large bush. Foliage smells like lemons when bruised. Grows best in well drained soil in the warm climates of Zones 8b to 11.
