Fothergilla is a native that I overlooked for a long time because I never saw it in garden centers. I am seeing it more often lately and for good reason. This shrub has these great white flowers in the spring and the leaves have an awesome fall color. This plant looks best in mass. The flowers look like little bottlebrushes. The shrub gets 5-6 feet tall.
