Ilex opaca - American Holly

This large growing evergreen is a native tree to this area. It can reach 40-50 feet tall but in the shade is much smaller. Often spread by birds this slow growing tree is easily spotted and appreciated this time of year when the leaves have fallen. Male & female plants are necessary for fruit .
