Helleborus foetidus - Stinking Hellebore

This evergreen perennial shows off its blooms during the winter months. The flowers are bad smelling so don't add them to your vase but rather enjoy them in the garden. You'd have to get right up close to it to smell it so don't let the name keep you from planting it. It reseeds and spreads well when established and grows best in well drained, fertile soil in shady conditions.
Native to Europe.
