Magnolia grandiflora - Southern Magnolia

Magnolias are in my top 5 favorite trees -- I am definitely fond of these native, stately, evergreen trees. A true tree of the South it grows best in zones 7 to 10.
With many cultivars & sizes available you can find a magnolia to suit any landscape.
Flowers are extremely fragrant and bright red seeds emerge in the fall.
To me this tree gives a strong foundation to a large space. With beautiful foliage & fragrant flowers how can you go wrong?
Try these cultivars: Hasse, Alta, Bracken's Brown Beauty, DD Blanchard, or Claudia Wannamaker
